Shuma Talukdar
Shuma Talukdar is a corporate lawyer with expertise in arbitration and contract and equipped with experience in various sectors, such as aviation, FMCG, information technology, media and entertainment, NGO, oil and gas, real estate, and shipping. She earned the degree of BA Honours (Political Science) from Gauhati University and LLB from Pune University, and holds certificates in “Managing Intellectual Property in Universities” from IIT, Madras, Women Entrepreneurship from IIM, Bangalore, and Patent Cooperation Treaty from World Intellectual Property Academy, Geneva. She is currently pursuing a certificate course in Corporate Governance. Shehas served Bodhi Global Services PvtLtd, Pune and India Law Offices, New Delhi as an Associate. She holds professional membership of the Supreme Court of India, the Bar Council of India, and the Department of Justice, Ministry of Law, Government of India. She co-founded a law firm, Droit India Legal Services in Noida, and ran it as a Managing Partner from 2013 to 2016. She is also a social entrepreneur. She established an NGO, Society for Social Regeneration & Equity (SSRE) in 2013 under the auspices of which she worked as its General Secretary in the fields of skill development, micro finance, livelihood, tobacco control, health and hygiene, women empowerment, gender equality, and legal rights. She has received training in the production and primary processing of medicinal and aromatic plants from the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) and Central Institute of Medicinal & Aromatic Plants (CIMAP) and is a qualified yoga therapist, certified by World Yoga Society, Kolkata.
Prajna Sen
A honours graduate in economics, with a post graduate specialization in advertising & marketing, has had more than 20 years of experience holding positions across various industry sectors. As a media planner in the advertising industry in India, a mass-communications officer in a marketing organization in Dubai, also dealing with sales analysis & packaging research, and a freelance market researcher for an independent economic research company in Dubai, the emphasis has been on analyzing data to fine tune strategy, developing communication & presentation skills, and taking initiative. Subsequently contributed to a family owned start up, and in partnership with two others, promoted women entrepreneurs and small time NGOs (run by women for women) from India by selling their products in Dubai. Enjoyed working independently and within a team environment. Strengths lie in analysis, communication and organization coupled with a willingness to learn and adapt to the challenges of a working environment. Loves to travel. Has travelled and lived in different cities within India and abroad. In the course of her travels has also taught in English medium schools, and has taken a three year sabbatical to learn the Russian language at a university in Moscow.
