QUEEN CHATTERJEE
Queen Chattopadhyay graduated from Loreto College and obtained an MA degree in Political Science from Calcutta University. Currently, she is pursuing a Masters in History from Aligarh Muslim University. She has also served in her capacity as the Vice-President of Cine Society, Loreto College. Additionally, Queen Chattopadhyay is recognized as an Bengali language elocutionist and public speaker, having presented multiple research papers in seminars and participated in debate competitions during her time in college. She recently contributed to the National Conference ‘Student 20: Bringing Change Together’ organized by Sarkari School, where she presented a research paper on ‘Education of Women through G20 Lens’. Her research article titled, ‘Analyzing Illegal Immigration in Assam’ was published by Network Generation.Deeply committed to community service, Queen Chattopadhyay engaged with the NGO ‘No Help too Big’, teaching underprivileged children from rural areas of Jharkhand. Her profound interests lie in grassroots level education systems, identity politics, conflict studies, migration, women empowerment and gender-oriented development. She currently serves as a research intern at Calcutta Rescue, actively involved in a project focused on gender sensitization in slum children.
PURNIMA PRASAD
Hi, my name is Purnima Prasad, 1st year student in MA. Political science (2022-24) from Amity University Kolkata. I have completed my graduation in the same subject from Calcutta University. My areas of interest include- Asia, Australia. 5th generation studies, Migration., Cultural phenomenon studies, Gender studies, Defense studies, International studies and International Relations. I’m a very curious and hardworking person. I’m a keen observant when it comes to world affairs and what’s happening around me and have sincere interest in knowing the mechanism of how things are done. I believe that with deep focus, faith, dedication and smart work, I can sail through ups and down. My objective is to be a Researcher and Professor ,in near future I want to represent my Country.
GURLEEN KAUR
GurleenKaur is currently pursuing her degree in Masters from the Department of South and Southeast Asian Studies, University of Calcutta. She has pursued her graduation in Political Science from Loreto College. During her academic journey, while participating in seminars, discussions and conferences she has developed a keen interest in research and critical thinking. She has been a part of numerous research papers and power point presentations. Gurleen's research interests include Geopolitical and Cultural Development of South and Southeast Asia along with the Emergence of Pan Asianism and it's Relevance in the 21st century. She has researched and presented papers titled as "Exploring the Genesis of Intersectional Feminism transcending times and borders" as a part of an International Conference with the collaborations from the University of Texas, University of Calcutta and The Presidency University. She has also been awarded with certificates and recognition by the United Nations Information Center for India and Bhutan, for her participation and efforts in various fields of research. She aspires to pursue her career as a diplomat and policy maker in the international arena. Gurleen is an enthusiastic reader and her other interests include creating abstract art and painting.
DEBSARANG BISWAS
Debsarang Biswas, Amity University Kolkata, currently pursuing BA in Political Science and looking forward to having a MA Degree in International Relations in the near future. I have a keen interest in Conflict Studies and have an interest in researching about the same. And Dr. S. Jaishankar being my career idol my goal is to work at the Ministry of External Affairs in the future in the capacity of an IFS.
