Samanneeta Chakraborty

Samanneeta Chakraborty, is currently pursuing Post-Graduation in History from Presidency University. She completed graduation in B.A History from Loreto College, affiliated to Calcutta University after completion of schooling from the Cambridge International School. Her areas of interest include History, Sociology, Military History and Gender Studies. She was awarded for the National Essay Competition in 2013 (a collaboration of the Ram Chandra Mission with the United Nations Information Center for India and Bhutan). She has also presented a paper on ‘The role of Bolsheviks in the Russian Revolution, 2017 at Inter College Multi-Disciplinary Paper Presentation. She has worked as a Human Resource Executive at Anthroplace Consultancy as an intern after graduation. Her hobbies include dancing, cooking and traveling. She is a voracious reader. She has also been awarded with a diploma in Bharatnatyam and Rabindra Nritya from Navaras Performing Arts, affiliated to BangyaSangeetParishad, as well as conferred with the title of Miss Fit held by Doordarshan Kendra. She has also being a judge for TTIS Durga Puja Festival, in collaboration with T2. Aspiring to be an Indian Administrative Service Officer, she aims to work for unprivileged children, gender equality and against trafficking.

Soumi Dey

SoumiDey is an undergraduate student of Department of Political Science, Presidency University, Kolkata. She is an active debater and quizzer. She also takes interest in fashion shows and theme walks. She is from a Commerce background and loves to indulge in business or start-up activities. She is also a student of Company Secretary at ICSI.

Sanandita Chanda

As a postgraduate student of history at Presidency University, Sanandita is passionate about her subject. Her undergraduate degree is also in history from Gokhale Memorial Girls’ college affiliated to Calcutta University. Her research interests lies in religious and political aspects of Modern South Asia and she aspires to work on the minority politics of colonial India. She is a voracious reader and  loves to read books and watch interviews of eminent personalities. She is also trained in instrumental music (synthesizer) and painting.

Swagata Mitra

As a Post Graduate student of History in Presidency University, she aspires to continue her academic endeavors in Religion and Identity politics. With good analytical skills she believes in her capability to put her thoughts onto the paper.Reading and dancing are her passion. She also loves to travel and learn new dialects.
