Because of her profound interest in Gender Studies, she is currently pursuing her Post-Diploma in Advanced Studies and Research from Ashoka University. As a part of the program, she is doing research of her own design and writing a thesis on the female D-voters of Assam. Titled "Tagged as a Female D-voter: Experiences, Fears and Coping in the times of Uncertainty", her thesis focuses broadly on gender through the lens of citizenship. It claims that the social positionality of the female D-voters in terms of their gender interacts with other social factors such as class and lack of education, making their quest for citizenship much more challenging. She has worked with several grassroots organizations such as The Indian Women's Project and ETASHA Society. She seeks to be a professional in the field of research and academics.
