Upoma Ganguly

Upoma Ganguly is a second-year undergraduate student of Political Science at Gokhale Memorial Girls' College. Her research interest lies at the nexus of human rights, protection of child rights, and forced migration with specific focus on the global refugee crisis and the gendered experience of war through the feminist lens.  She has previously worked with both NGOs and corporate offices and presently is a research intern for an NGO, Miss Link Trust, based in Mumbai, that works against sex trafficking, child marriages and teen pregnancies. She was formerly a journalist for The Telegraph In Schools and has interviewed several eminent personalities and authored original pieces in that capacity. She has also hosted/conducted a webinar on trans rights, in the light of the ratification of the Transgender Persons Protection Of Rights Act, on behalf of the GirlUp Club, Kolkata. Her essay titled "Soft Power And Cultural Diplomacy In The Contemporary World" has won second position at The International Relations Scholastic Conclave 2022 organized by Jadavpur University and her original poetry on the theme of identity, immigration and assimilation has been selected to be published in Postscript, the Annual Journal of the English Literary Society of St. Stephen's College, DU. She's an avid reader, an occasional writer and a budding thespian. In her free time, she loves to decode and overanalyze pop culture.

Suchandra Bhaduri

Suchandra bhaduri has completed her M.Phil with a specialization in History from Institute of Development Studies Kolkata (IDSK). Her academic interests lie in exploring the gender dynamics in history, understanding the intricacies of education and culture in British India and the history of the disabled in Colonial India, which is the dissertation she prepared for her M.Phil degree. With a keen interest in the korean culture and history she has been learning the Korean Language from 2020. Outside academics, she is passionate about photography, music and cooking.

Shrestha Ghosh

I am Shrestha Ghosh, currently pursuing Master's in Economics from University of Calcutta. I graduated from Loreto College back in 2021, claiming a Bachelor's degree in Economics. For a major part of my academic career I have had a keen interest towards research. I have led multiple teams in research work and have made sure we strive towards excellence. My areas of interest mainly include human rights, gender economics, political affairs and development economics in general. I am an entrepreneur too and I successfully ran an e-commerce street style clothing website for two years with the help of two of my co-founders. I aspire to widen my interest and make my skills more useful for the organization I've been employed in.

I am a student of M.Sc in Economics at University of Calcutta.My research interest lie at the intersection of Gender studies , Development Economics and Political Economics. I am keen on contributing to research that can guide policy making in India. My aim is to collaborate with various think tanks so that I can gain knowledge and experience in this field.
