CALL FOR INTERNS 2026

Asia in Global Affairs (AGA) announces its internship program for February to April 2026.

The aim of the organization is to explore the society, polity, culture, and economy of Asia in general and the Eurasian and West Asian regions in particular, with the goal of studying and establishing their linkages with India.

Frontiers, Identities, and Conflict

Security, Democracy, and Governance

Culture and Heritage

Demography, Migration, and Displacement

Linkages, Connects, and Legacies

Diversity, Diaspora, and Urban Space

Energy, Environment, and Development

Gender, Society, and State

Thematic Focus:

The thrust of the internship program for this term would be on India’s Foreign Policy, Bilateral and Multilateral Relations, Regionalism and Regional Organizations, Connectivity, Infrastructure, and Global Governance in the Asian Context. The core focus will be on inculcating awareness and building expertise on Asia and Asian Studies through research, writing, and mentorship.

The organization fosters an interactive research environment where each intern is assigned a mentor who guides them in developing critical research and writing skills.

Duration and Responsibilities:

The internship duration is three months (February 1 – April 30, 2026).

Interns are expected to author two articles/opinions piece each month, which will be published on the AGA website after a review process.

Interns will participate in academic events, dialogues, and discussions organized by AGA.

The internship is conducted in a virtual mode, allowing interns to work remotely.

 

Criterion of Eligibility

Pursuing a Master’s/Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences from a recognized academic institution.

Keen interest and aptitude in research, analysis, and writing.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Knowledge of additional languages is encouraged.

Ability to work independently and in collaboration with teams.
